POC and the Swedish Cycle Federation sign official partnership
POC and the Swedish Cycle Federation agree on an official partnership which will see all Swedish cycling federation teams using POC helmets, eyewear, body armor and apparel until 2018.
POC is a Swedish company with a strong mission ‘to do the best we can to possibly save lives and to reduce the consequences of accidents for gravity sports athletes and cyclists’.
Stefan Ytterborn, POC CEO and founder, said ‘The partnership with the Swedish cycling federation is one that is driven by a clear and mutual purpose; to make Swedish cycling the best and the safest in the world. As a Swedish company we are proud to support our national teams and as the Swedish Federation has a clear goal to make Swedish cycling the best by 2020 performance is the cornerstone of our partnership. We will ensure that the Swedish teams have the very best in safe, technical and high performance helmets, body armor, eye wear and apparel.

Wind tunnel testing, the use of advanced fabrics and technologies, new composites and materials will all form part of our approach make every pedal stroke count and shave off unwanted seconds.

Swedish Cycling Federation
The Swedish Cycling Federation was formed early in 1900 and consists of approximately 380 associations, representing 37,000 members across the country. The Federation covers activities for all ages in road and mountain biking, which are the largest. Other activities are BMX, cyclo-cross, track, trial and para cycle.
The cycle disciplines which will now wear helmets, apparel, glasses and armor from POC when they represent Sweden at international competitions will be road, track, BMX, Cyclocross, Mountain Bike, Trial and Para Cycling.
